The US Copyright Office allowed file types for digital deposit copies.

United States Copyright Office

Washington, D.C.

For registration purposes, the U.S. Copyright Office allows the file types listed below to be submitted as digital deposit copies. PHOTOGRAPHERS, please note that photographs submitted for registration must be either JPEG, GIF, or TIFF format, and all photos in a group registration must be the same file type.

Note that when a work is first published in physical form prior to registration, the Copyright Office may require physical deposit copies. Although digital deposit with registration prior to publication is highly recommended, RightsClick facilitates registration with both digital and physical deposit copies.

NOTE: We recommend files of 3mb or less. See more details on the Registration Page.
